Resolutions

1. 365 Art Blog: I tried last year, but had my definition all wrong(finishing a piece every day?? No wonder I failed!). This year I plan to work on my art every single day, and I'm going to try to get a picture of the progress I've made and put it in a blog on Threadless.com

2. In relation to that, I'm going to start subbing designs(to Threadless.com) ! I'm gonna work to get printed, yo!

3. Time to get more fit!(on Threadless .com)

4. Learn to TYPE! I can type, and I can also type correctly! But I only do so when I remember to. So I'm going to put a sticker in the corner of my laptop screen to remind me!

5. Learn to speak loudly and clearly! I've always been softspoken, but lately I've noticed people have trouble even understanding what I'm saying!

6. Get a job! I need to get my first job! Rrg!

7. Get my driver's liscence!! Especially important if I want to get a job! Also, this will help me..

8.Get a better social life! I'm effing bored all the time!

9,10,11,12. Get higher grades! Improve resume! Apply to college! Get into college!(possibly)

13. set and strive for and achieve more goals! Even I think that last bunch would be enough, but something else tells me I should do more.like brushing my teeth
So that last one sounded kinda morose, but HEY! here I am! Not going to talk like that the whole way though.

(speaking of through, I hate those extra three letters. It should totally be thru)

But yeah, I bet you're wondering what to expect from this blog. This'll be a random concoction of all of my musings, wether they be self improvement schemes, song review articles, or pictures of my art.

Introduction

You can call me whatever you like, but my proper name is Chris. My many aliases may alienate the name, but that doesn't mean I dislike it. I love the name. It's the only name I've ever stuck with. My AIM account has changed 4 times in 3 years. I even just spent upwards of 20 minutes with an e-friend thinking about the name of this blog - is it reasonable ? is it distinctive? He thinks it sounds like a brand name or summat.

Trouble it, I have problems with names. Especially when it comes to screen ones. There are the many human names I admire - Max - Zack - James - Skip, and there are the internet aliases like Bramish and Flatwick and Inigo. Band names, like The Cat Empire or Spoon, Of Montreal and Wilco. The ____-villes and ______ Avenues. So many of them are so wonderful. They mean nothing and everything at the same time! Why can't I come up with one that does that and fits?

Past that, it's the words that really get me going. They're/there/their (I know it's their) extreme connective base in Latin and Greek (down to Sanskrit) and the way they fit together into one sublimely generic meaning. It's amazing! Now how to apply that eloquence to personal life I don't know. But that's the goal.

I've spent the last several years in a loophole. I saw that if I would just take in the world around me without having the courage to be a part of it, life slips forward like butter. Or olive oil, I dislike butter. I sure learned alot, but at quite some cost. But after a few months of therapeutic thought, harder work and strengthening drive, I'm starting things off differently. It's a new year in a few days, I can start working towards othr and bteter things fi I want/. Typos and all.
